Train simulator 2014 free routes for free#
If you look for the TS Classic routes they are published by us and use only the basic content packs which you most likely own.Īs others have pointed out there is also a range of content available for free on a number of different sites. Again, the filters can help narrow down the search. You can also find free routes on Workshop too. With over 6,000 scenarios on Workshop you are bound to find some that work with what you own. As you state you might find that some of these also use content that you don't have in your collection so you will have to do some digging. Select a locomotive that you own and a list of scenarios will pop up which use it.
To sort these use the filter options which are listed down the right hand side of the page.
You can find a range of free scenarios which you can use. Workshop is a great place to expand your Train Simulator experience for free. This made me give up playing, bought December 2012 removed from PC Feb 2013 never reinstalled. It would seem that you cannot even add a free workshop loco unless you already have its route.Īlso, I had poor experiences with the game and although I would love to buy some specific DLC's currently on offer, my experience of a bunch of bugs coupled with rudness from some of the ardent fans on the help forum telling me everything was attributable to my PC and then being told by other players they had been experiencing the same bugs over a long period of time, which have never been fixed despite, constantly reporting them. Unless you have the route already you will need a paid for and in my opinion, an extortionally priced DLC to to make anything in the players workshop work.
I don't expect masses of free stuff, the devs have to earn a living but, unlike many other games available, with this software nothing is a free download. I'm in a similar position to you, on a pension and unable to afford DLC's at those prices also, like you I searched for some free stuff to expand the severely restricted stock game unfortunately, it doesn't seem to exist.
